Modifying composite textiles - by irradiation and grafting of esp vinyl monomers

Composite materials, esp textiles, partic. flat textile structures consisting of =2 components differing in their behaviour to radiation and/or through different shrinkage in chemical-, esp. radio-chemical, reactions are modified, w.r.t. structural effects and also dyeing-, anti-static, water-absorption, water-repellent properties, by initiating radiochemical centres, esp. by local irradiation, and contacting the materials, before, during and/or after medical formation with a further medium esp a monomer e.g. a vinyl cpd.
