Shuttering for concrete - comprising double wall plastic panels which remain in situ to locate tie bars and services

Shuttering comprising one layer of prefabricated plastic panels used to contain the concrete during casting and to locate reinforcing tie bars within the cast concrete, and a secondary prefabricated panel which can be fastened over the first panel to present a surface ready for decoration by e.g. paint, wall paper, tiles, etc. Pref. the gap between the panels is sufficient for accepting service conduits, ducts, etc. and/or to be filled in situ with an insulating foam. Pref. adjacent cladding panels fit with tongue and groove edges. Pref. lengths of plastic pipes are used to bridge pairs of primary panels to define the cavity for casting the concrete. The secondary panel is pref. of a fire retardant plastic and covered with an intumescent paint. Plaster faced panels may incorporate electrical resistant elements for space heating.
