Automatic grill clearance rake for upward - swept curved screening grills for polluted water channels

Automatic grill-clearing mechanism for unblocking screening grills fitted across channels of polluted water. The mechanism is of the type which comes into action when pressure detectors on opposite sides of the grill indicate an unacceptable degree of blinding of the screen. Essentially a vertically-barred grill is curved to a radius centred on an axis about which is pivoted on an arm carrying at its extremity a retractable comb to engage the bars, raise debris to the top and allow it to be removed. The movements are all effects hydraulically or pneumatically and little maintenance is required.
