摘要
1307802 Model aircraft C J GREEN 30 March 1971 [30 Jan 1970] 8186/71 Heading B7W [Also in Division F1] A model aircraft having a body 11 and wings 12 is powered by a jet propulsion engine 13 using Freon (Registered Trade Mark) as the working fluid. After launch the thrust of the engine is insufficient to maintain sustained climb of the aircraft so the latter levels out and , then goes into a dive as movement of the liquid Freon causes the centre of gravity 35 to move forwardly. As the dive speed increases the wing lift increases so the aircraft pulls out and again goes into a climb with movement of the c. of g. 35 rearwardly. This sequence continues until, when all the Freon has been exhausted and the c. of g. 35 is in line with the centre of pressure of wings 12, the aircraft goes into a level glide.
