1320745 Packaging machines FROMAGERIES BEL-LA VACHE QUI RIT 1 Dec 1970 [4 Dec 1969] 57030/70 Heading BSC A machine for packaging a material such as melted cheese has work-positions 2a to 2p, each corresponding to one of the packaging operations, arranged in line with the same number of detachable work-tools at each position so as to define a number of parallel work-lines. The workpositions are in three groups. The first, 2a to 2h, forms container blanks with turn-down corners 3 from a roll 5 of aluminium foil, severs the blanks, forms them into shells using pistons 10 and moulds 11, and applies tear strips 9. The second group, 2i to 2m fill the containers from pourer 16 and nozzles 17, apply and weld separate covers, and eject the sealed containers. The final group 2n to 2p cluster the containers into groups for boxing. The three groups are synchronized using a cam-shaft 35, and a control console 38 is provided. The number of work-lines and the shape of container is variable.
