Metal (lead) in the liquid phase can be pressurized for extrusion in a holding chamber with an inlet port for an intermediate liquid which in turn can be pressurized by a second liquid pref. mineral oil. The intermediate liquid which separates the two liquids is immiscible with them. The holding chamber has a control valve for the inlet of the liquid metal.
