In a loading machine for a reactor of known type comprising a pressure vessel contg. the fuel elements and moderator block and a rotatable machine table for the lifting gear for exchanging these, as well as for raising and depositing the closure plug of the machine and the plugs for the stand-pipes leading to the reactor core, the lifting gear comprises a winch for the lifting cable and a lifting arm suspended therefrom with a gripper guided in a telescopic tube, together with a rotatable magazine table supported in the pressure vessel.
