A device to prevent leakage of heating oil inlet pipes to underground containers in partic. oil tanks, the internal space of which is connected to the surrounding atmosphere by means of an air vent pipe, has the complete set of inlet pipes joined into a single bundle and passed into the tank through the air vent pipe. The air vent pipe has an additional control aperture attached somewhere along the section of its length that runs in a horizontal direction. A sight glass is also attached in the region of the additional control aperture.
