In vitro investigation of the solubility behaviour of medicaments, partic. tablets, pills, capsules, etc., comprises (a) rotating the reaction container, charged to 45-55 % of its vol. with the pharmaceutical prod., an artificial stomach juice and glass beads round its horizontal axis at about 0.6 r.p.m. (b) removing test samples at specific time intervals, given by calculation from the reaction vol. and the resorption velocity constant of the appropriate pharmaceutical, for the determn. of the residual content of pharmaceutical and from the variation of its solubility with time.
