The swimming pool has horizontal, pre-stressed walls, consisting of pre-cast concrete sections, with joint seals of elastic material, and cement, which after hardening, transmits the tenion forces, applied by tensioning members, inserted in channels in the pre-cast sections. Each section of a row in a wall is positioned at a distance to the previous section (1a) from which project the tensioning members (12a). These consist of tension rods, with threads at their free ends. Threaded sleeves (16) are screwed onto the rods, for connection to the rods (12b) of the section (1b) being positioned. Anchoring nuts (13) on the second section, or rods, are tensioned, to press it against the first section, and compress the joint seal (15). The joint cement is injected into the cavities (19), formed between the joint seals. The rods are left under tension, after the cement has hardened.
