1380064 Kerb drain units S ITO 16 Nov 1971 [31 Jan 1971 (2)] 43272/71 Heading E1G A hollow kerb drain for an elevated or other road is composed of end-connected sheet metal units 1 some of which have drain inlet openings, each unit comprising an upper portion forming a continuous kerb-which may slope (Figs. 4, 7, 9 not shown) or project as in Fig. 13 and which has transverse internal reinforcing webs-and a lower drain channel portion, and each unit having anchoring rods 9 welded on its rear and under sides. The rods 9 may be welded to the road reinforcement. Adjacent units may have spigot and socket connections or be connected by a channel bellows attachment, Figs. 10-12 (not shown).
