Laminated board for concrete shuttering - has high bending strength provided by outer layers of wood pref. veneer with chipboard core

A method of making boards or panels for concrete shuttering, predominantly from wood, consists of pressing a laminated structure comprising a central core of chipboard and, (symmetrically) each side of the core thin layers of timber with facing sheets of moisture-impermeable material, esp. hot-setting phenolic paper. Each thin timber layer is pref. made of =2 sheets of veneer with their grain directions crossing.
