Mixt. comprises 1 pt.wt. cold-setting plastics, including accelerator and catalyst additions, 3 pts.wt. fine-milled pref. bronze, brass, Cu, Al or Ni powder, and 2-3 wt.% pure silicic acid. This is spread 2-3 mm thick and after it has set, it is ground so that recesses remain in the mass. Pref. non-ferrous metal powder can be sieved onto the surface of the still soft mass, which can be given a surface structure using a milled plate.
