Plastics processing nozzle has a sieve to retain metallic foreign bodies contained in the milled plastics granules, without blockage of the nozzle. The nozzle has a pot insert with sieve bores in its floor. Pref riser tube(s) projecting into the cavity are fitted in the sieve floor of the insert. Specif the cavity faces the me the sieve bores are somewhat smaller than that of the nozzle.
