Continuous steriliser for food products in cans or jars. The can are carried through a press vessel between press. locked inlets and outlets, the can axes being kept upright at all times. Maximum utilisation of the steriliser conveyor is obtained since individual container pockets are obviated. The machine can handle a wide variety of shapes and sizes of cans and jars. Damage is minimal and deformed containers do not jam.
