1410265 Capacitors ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTIONS ELECTRIQUES DE CHARLEROI 19 April 1973 [21 April 1972] 19150/73 Heading H1M A method of manufacturing a capacitor assembly comprises winding insulation 4 round a first capacitor roll 1, then winding electrode and dielectric strip material on insulation 4 to form a second capacitor 3, then further insulation and so on, applying masking material in the form of a ring 5 over the inset edges of the insulation layers 4 at selected locations of the composite roll, applying metal coatings, e.g. 6, 7 and 8 to interconnect the electrode edges of like polarity and removing the masking material to separate other adjacent electrodes. The electrodes may be zinc or aluminium vacuum evaporated on to polypropylene, or metallized paper or metal foil.
