Title cpds is of formula (I): It is prepd by the reaction of vincaminic acid (II) on diazoethane in an apolar solvent at about 0 degree C. In an example 9g (II) was stirred at 0 degree C in 100 ml methylene chloride and treated with a soln of diazoethane in ether. prepd from 12g nitroso ethyl urea. The product was 11.5g (I) m.pt 241 degrees C.
