Synthetic granular fertiliser with stabilised granules - coated with mixt. of polyethylene/paraffins, and depositing surfactants on granules

Synthetic granular fertiliser is conditioned in order to prevent formation of dust and lumps by (1) coating the fertilizer granules with a mixt. of polyethylene having an av. mol. wt. of 10,000, and paraffins having a m.pt. of 80 degrees C, and (2) depositing surfactants on the fertiliser, before, during or after stage (1). The wt. ratio of polyethylene/paraffins is 3 : 1 - 1 : 3. Conditioning is effected with 0.01-0.5 wt.% of the mixt., based on fertiliser, and 0.01-0.5 wt.% surfactants.
