Deep sea drilling rig supporting a platform on two columns from the sea bed can be difficult to position accurately, so the invention comprises a concrete block or mass below the columns. This mass has 4 recesses in its underside which are seated on concrete feet. There is a space between the feet and the concrete block. The space between the internal vertical faces of the two units contains a membrane of rubber or similar material. Which is embedded in the two walls and is folded in a concave upwards direction. There is thus formed a watertight cavity into which is pumped a fluid. The block is thereby moved to its correct position and the void is then filled with concrete.
