This invention relates to an extensible anchoring structure rigidly supported between two opposing walls of a mine stope, or drift or tunnel, whereby the rearward portion of a rock drill (the "jack leg") may be braced in fixed position to assure firm attack of the drill upon the face of the rock wall.
