摘要
The afterburner is used to ensure that the residual oxygen in the flue gases is completely mixed with the combustible gases for afterburning process. The flue gases are directed into the vertical chambers with vertical partition walls. These walls are connected with perforated sections (14, 15). The perforated connections are arranged in staggered manner. The gases and the residual oxygen are mixed completely and combustion takes place in these chamber. Solid particles which are burnt at the same time form ashes which are able to fall vertically down into the ash collecting funnels (13, 16, 17). The staggered arrangement of the passages and of the resulting vortex flow of the gases ensures good mixing and thorough combustion.
