Laminates for padding or decoration - comprising textile surface layer, foam or fibrous layer and weldable interlayer

The interlayer is perf. applied to the textile layer by transfer coating, before the foam or fibrous layer is welded on. Pref. a further flexible or (semi)rigid underlayer is fitted, esp. using adhesives. Using the interlayer (e.g. of polyurethane between a polyamide textile and PVC foam), laminates even of normally incompatible materials, can be easily made by (e.g. HF) welding products are useful e.g. as padding for seats or as decorative wall-panels.
