The equipment is for the removal of sandbanks from beaches and waterways, and comprises a water jet extending horizontally and rotated about a vertical axis. This generates a high-pressure water current near the sand, and as the jet rotates a slurry of sand and water is formed. A pump with its intake below the jet discharges the slurry along piping to a suitable point. Stationary mountings are provided with anchoring feet to secure the equipment in the sand, and an intake hopper is mounted below it for the pump, with a strainer grille to prevent large objects from choking the latter. The mounting feet are secured to the hopper. A buoy is attached, to stabilise the equipment when mounted underwater.
