(e.g. methyl(meth) acrylate or ethylcrotonate) to the refluxing Ge cpd. so that the concn. of the unsatd. cpd. remains low during the addn. Prods. are useful inters. e.g. in the prodn. of Ge-contg. cpds. with physiological or chemotherapeutic props. such as di- or tricyclic azaspiranes having a Ge atom in the ring.
