The warning layer, in the form of a strip of natural or synthetic rubber, or a suitable plastic, in shadings or colourings and/or metal particles is applied to the tyre carcas in a vulcanising press. The tyre tread is applied 1mm below the surface of the tread. Provide a visual indication to warn the tyre tread has worn to legal or safety limits.
