The wire is used in welding or weld depositing ferritic steels and has the compsn. (by wt.) 0.03-0.2k% C, 1.50-2.80% Mn, 0.20-1.50% Si, is not 0.08% residual Al, 0.1-0.6 (0.15-0.25)% Zr, bal. Fe. =0.3% Al and opt. =0.5% Ti may be added to improve weld props. The wire can be used under reversed or direct polarity welding modes, the latter mode allowing high weld deposition rates.
