Laminated components with which structures can be assembled or reinforced and repaired comprise a body and a covering layer. The body may be made from short fibres bonded with a thermoplastic or thermosetting resin formed possibly in a mould, or from continuous fibres laid out in a definite shape, possibly on a thermoplastic film, consolidated and covered by an outer layer of a meltable matl. The body of the component is then hardened without the covering layer being melted and is ready for storing or immediate use.
