The labelling roller in a bottle labelling machine has one or more grip fingers controlled by roller levers, steering rollers and curved tracks. Stops corresponding to the fingers transfer labels and subsequently supply them to the object to be labelled or an intermediate carrier. Outer and inner curve rings limit a curved groove for the guide roller of the roller lever, with the respective rings lying in parallel above each other and in their angle position capable of adjustment and of being fixed in any required position. Both curve rings after unlocking are capable of being swivelled around their common centre axis.
