Carpet steam treatment unit - where removable lower rollers are shrouded by troughs to support lower loops of carpeting

As the carpeting passes through the steam unit following a serpentine path between upper rollers and lower supports, the lower trough supports are fitted with vertical slits in their end faces to carry a support roller which can be removed, or replaced with a roller of a different dia. The purpose is to extend the application of the lower support trough, for carpetings of acrylic pile fibre which must not be subjected to pressure, by inserting a roller to allow polyamide carpetings to be processed where light pressure gives a denser and more consistent pile structure.
