The catapult appliance consists of a holder with an elastic rubber cord, and a basic element with a hook, to be hooked into the cord, and catapulted into the air. The element is surrounded by a flight body, and connected via lugs and corresponding apertures. The element has a centre of gravity and balance weights near the hook, and there are control flaps on the flight body. After the body has reached its maximum height, rotation about its longitudinal axis is introduced. Due to the positioning of the centre of gravity, the flight body automatically moves into vertical position, after the driving power has come to an end. The control flaps automatically alter their position in relation to the basic element, and may contain additional appliances, to receive or transmit signals, etc.
