Silage preparation and storage - pre-pressed silage bales are ground stored

Short and long term silage is mixed and prepared then pre-pressed into bales, and bales stacked diagonally to form a ground silo. The diagonal position of the bales ensures even pressure and density. The ground silo is covered by agricultural polythene sheeting. The system allows use of silage and pre-preparation at the same time and takes little space as compared to stoned built silos.
