Water - in - oil resin dispersions for use in the building industry esp. for prodn. of mortar or for building panels with stable shape and good thermal insulation, contain an unsatd. polyester resin dissolved in a polymerisable monomer, and a long chain dispersing agent. =50 equiv. % of the alcohol component of the unsatd. polyester resin consists of (a) a pure polyol, and/or (b) a prim. polyol with CH2OH gps. bonded to tert. or quaternary C atoms. Amino silane is used as adhesion promoter.
