Airport and car park layout - vehicles allocated parking positions dependent on passengers' take-off time

An access road to the terminal building runs through a series of parking areas each side, and an overhead walkway is located over the road with staircases leading up to it from both sides. At the entrances to the road, vehicles are issued with tickets and allocated to areas depending on the imminence of the departure time of the passengers, those leaving soonest being directed to the areas nearest the terminal building. On the other side of the terminal building a passageway continues straight on, to serve a series of fingers or similar transfer points at which the passengers are directed to waiting aircraft.
