Anti-tussive secretolytic 2-aminobenzylamines prepn. - by reaction of 2-acylaminobenzyl alcohols and amines

Title cpds. of formula (I) (where R1 is H, Cl or Br; R2 is H or 1-3C alkyl; R3 is hydroxycyclohexyl or morpholinocarbonyl methyl) are prepd. by reacting 2-acylamino benzyl alcohols of formula (II) with amines of formula HNR2R3 (where R4 and R5 are H or organic acyl) at 100-220 degrees C in e.g. xylene. (I) are known secretolytics and anti-tussives.
