The filter consists of two cavities separated by a partition wall with a coupling pin extending from its top surface through the housing roof. The coaxial input and output are connected to the outer sides of the cavities, as in 2136729. The coupling pin is free to move inside an external waveguide tube connected to the housing and having a definite wave impedance. A capacitive load is connected to the end of the coupling pin to shorten the waveguide tube. The inner conductors of the input and output tubes are each connected to a further coupling pin which is free to move inside another external waveguide connected to the housing.
