Cleaner and polisher for glass plates - has Vienna lime applied in water, dried, and sucked out through vibrating polishers

Glass plates are cleaned and polished by vibrators which oscillate in the plane of the plate, with a polishing and cleaning agent, which is applied in liq. suspension, the liq. being evapd. while the medium is sucked out through the vibrators. Pref. Vienna lime is used in aq. suspension. The appts. has a conveyor for the plates with a roller applicator for the suspension at the start and is adjoined by a drying chamber and then vibrators, each with a working surface which is permeable to air and dust and a suction connection. The application rollers run transversely of the advancing direction and form a roller gap for feeding the suspension. A good surface finish can be obtd. with uniformity.
