Branching-off of light transmitting fibres - with method of fabrication and application of bifurcation couplings of light transmitting fibres

The arrangement shows branching-off for light transmitting fibres used for tapping off of light signals transmitted in a fibre core which has a high refractive index and which is covered with a coat having a low refractive index. The core can be rectangular or multi side in its cross-section. The bends are first performed and have their covering surfaces blown open. The cross sectional areas of the cores are identical. They are then stretched and the distance between cores is so selected to prevent loss of light signal in the various cores.
