The music teaching instrument is designed to give students familiarity with the keyboard and with music notation, as well as introducing them to the theory of music, including turns, intervals, chords etc. The teacher has an instrument incorporating a piano keyboard and a number of indicator lamps, there being one for each student. The teachers instrument is connected to a means of generating combinations of notes, which the students bear through a loudspeaker. Each student has a panel carrying treble and bass clef staves and two columns of buttons, white and black, which correspond with the keyboard and are linked with it and with an individual earphone for each student.
