Hop-picking machine with conveyor - incorporates chopper for bines directly after stripping machine and suction device for waste materials

The stripping machine pushes the bines roots-first between two rollers and transports them to a chopper which consists of a rotating blade. The chopped bines are then conveyed to a discharge fan. Three belts convey the waste which has fallen off during cleaning to an intake belt and thus to the discharge fan. A cutter attached to an extension of the ventilation shaft, chops the waste up more finely. The chopper is preferably enclosed for safety, and chute helps convey the waste to the ventilator. A conveyor screw in a preferably semi-cylindrical trough takes the waste from the hop picking machine towards the suction device. The trough has stripper plates near the outer circumference of the screw. At the discharge end of the conveyor screw is at least one radial blade.
