From the belt 5 the heads pass on to a sorting conveyor 6. for transfer to boxes or to a discharge conveyor. The elevator 4 is closed at one end by plate 11 and has a deflector 12 at the other to confine the heads. The paddles 10 can be curved or bent at their, free ends and may be made of resilient material.
