Fire flap for channels in air conditioning plants - acts as sound absorber when in open position

The flap may be located in vertical or horizontal channels, and has a sealing body, maintained in open position by a release unit. The sealing body is formed as a slidable fire flap, located in a housing within the channel. The flap consists of two parts. The front section of the first part has a fire resistant covering in the direction of air flow, and seals the channel air-tight in case of fire. The second half has a cylinder or prismatic shaped aperture, of the same cross section, as the connecting channel. The inner aperture surface is formed as perforated hole or grid, with a sound absorbent, non-inflammable material behind it.
