Front wheel drive for rotary or turbine engine - having power unit parallel to front axle with single coupling gear for compact layout

The rotary engine is arranged in parallel to the front axle and drives an epicyclic gear box and a torque converter set in a line across the car. The output from the power unit is by a centrally mounted gear driven through coaxial shafts between the torque converter and the middle of the unit. The gear drives directly onto a differential system for a compact layout which does not affect the steering movement of the front wheels. For a turbine the epicyclic reduction gear is arranged coaxially on each side of the turbine to drive directly to the front wheels. The cooling fan is set with a vertical axis to blow over the turbine.
