Prime mover operating method, where an operating medium circulating in a wholly or partially closed circuit system, is supplied with energy by compression of the operating medium and by a heat supply with at least part of this energy being converted. A predetermined part of the operating medium is converted during the energy supply stage from a liquid to a gaseous state and after the energy supply stage returns from the liquid to a gas aggregate state. When the operating medium is in a circuit to drive a turbine where a compressor and a heat exchanger is in front of the turbine and a cooler after the turbine, the liquid components are pumped into the compressor and subsequently cooled up to the condensation stage.
