Bank hall till protection - has pneumatically operated dropping columns of bullet proof foam material triggered-off by under floor tread switches

The floor of the bank hall is divided into pressure sensitive squares or hexagons, each with a tread switch underneath. Each switch is connected via a solenoid valve to the releasing mechanism of a foam material column directly above the respective floor section. All sections on which persons are standing have their switches in open position, so that in case of an attempted robbery, only those sections become activated which are empty and all persons become hereby captured by surrounding columns, when the cashier operates the alarm switch. After arrival of the police the cashier operates on a push button panel with indicator lights only those buttons which operate the columns surrounding the harmless persons whereas the would-be-robber stays engulfed until ready to surrender.
