Small craft marina and jetty - uses vehicle tyres and connecting members of flat iron to provide resilient surface

The jetty is constructed from buoyant bodies of vehicle tyres, anchored by a circular steel anchor rim. Wooden palettes form an accessible upper surface. Two cut-out type sections of the same rim dimensions are used as sealing rings. The tyres are connected by coupling members consisting of flat iron profiles. The rows of tyres are linked in parallel, so that each tyre floats upward in the water with a duckboard placed on top and retained by angled wedge shapes. The arrangement uses up worn out tyres whilst providing a resilient surface to engage the boat sides.
