Zero point corrector - with method for mechanical zero position setting on machines

The method for zero position setting in length or angle measurement entails two arrangements (a) for a balance piece to move between two parts which are adjustable relative to each other, (b) for a balance piece to be itself adjustable. The zero corrector can slide upon and can be affixed to the balancing piece, and fits into a cavity where it grips into the metering arrangement of the machine. The latter is an established precision measuring arrangement. The balancing piece has a form of a rectangular slab. The zero point setter is also fitted into the micrometer rotary movement.
