The outer casing of the handbag is injection moulded in one piece from suitable plastics composition and in a suitable design. The fastening flap if one is required is integral with the front flap and the side panels and base may be designed with expanding folds for easier use of the handbag, the folds being pleated in the form of a bellows. The front flap folds down to meet the clip along the lower edge of the front piece.
