Mass-produced double-skinned sheet metal door - with Z-sectioned profile with bent rabbet fold and sheets pushed together

The objective is a sheet steel shaped-section which can be readily mass-produced for assembly into a double-skinned large steel door, usable either on the left or on the right, produced in standard lengths, all that is needed on assembly being to fit a folding rabbet and push the two sheets together with the shaped-section, no compression of the fold as a result of welding being necessary. The door may have a completely smooth outer skin, with no need for the usual blocking-out of rough surfacing in the joint corner area. Production and assembly can be very rapid.
