Electrical detonator leads tightly coiled as neat bundle - to facilitate easy unreeling in difficult conditions

The electrical conductors leading to an explosives detonator are coiled to form a self-supporting coil, from which pref. the conductors can only be uncoiled from the inside. The two conductors are pref. coiled up together, the detonator being tucked into the end of the coil. The other ends are pref. prepared with the insulation cut back and also tucked into the coil. The detonator is used for firing explosive charges in tunnels and mines, partic. where the light is bad; there is no need to sort out a long conductor on the ground, with consequent risk of tangling and damage to insulation.
