Cement powder preheating - in several stages by kiln waste gases and in parallel stages by combustion gases

Cement in powder form, suspended in a gas stream, is preheated before burning in a kiln in a first section by the waste gases from the kiln in several stages. A second section is arranged in parallel to the first, to preheat the cement powder by combustion gases which are produced by additional burners in their last stage. This provides a simple way of increasing the capacity of existing kilns in SP plants by adding a separate preheater section with additional burners.
